Receipt envelope 2008
If you know me you know I’m a VERY organized person, mostly. So it should come to no surprise that when Christmas rolls around I’ve got an envelope for that years spending. This morning I just started the envelope for 2008, so it means shopping has officially began!
Out of curiosity I dug out 2007’s envelope & added it all up and can I say OMG! The total I have in receipts, which I’m SURE I’m missing some, came out to $1025.54 spent last year. Yeah, my jaw dropped, too. Thankfully this year I’ve cut out A LOT of gifts due to me being unemployeed. I’m buying for Mister, my girls, stepdaughter, mom, sis, niece, nephew, my secret santa ho, my girlfriend and her boy. That’s it. That seems like a lot, but its not compared to what my list usually consists of.
I need to get creative like my girlfriend, Craze, and start making gifts for the family! Thankfully I’ve been saving my $1’s and change so I’m ready to hit the mall and Target at 5am on Friday.
**ETA** I hit one too many 2’s it was $1025 & not 10,225! lol

Holy crap! Is that just your spending or Mister’s also?
And do you need a lonely white girl for a relative?

Valerie, you’re telling me!
Carrie, that’s just my spending, we keep separate accounts. I’ve already adopted a white girl and her son but if another spot opens up I’ll let you know.
Diva, neither do I.

Over $10,000?! This is EXACTLY why I don’t have an envelope. Evidence. My husband would kill me! LOL

You always make me feel so darn unorganized when it comes to the holidays! I need some of your shopping mojo up here!

Oh.My.Good.Lord.
Woman, that is the cost of a car. Wow. I’m both impressed and appalled. That’s a strange sensation, let me tell you!
This year, since I spent some involuntary time as a SAHM, our boys have been told that they have two options: Ask for one item you want more than anything else, and have only that to open on Christmas morning, or be willing to be surprised (and act gracious about it!) by as many little things as we can get for the same amount of money.
They each have chosen to ask for one thing.
Guess I won’t need to stock up on wrapping paper this year!

Renee, no it was a mistake I didn’t spend $10k! lol I spent $1k! lol I got carried away.
Jen, I would fall apart if I wasn’t organized.
Sports Mama, it was a typo, I would NEVER spend $10k on xmas unless we won the Lotto! lol Yeah, xmas is a little tighter this year for us, too. They’re getting DS’ then a few needed items like shoes & clothes.

We keep an envelope of receipts too but I’ve never totaled it up. I probably don’t want to!!
