Today (yesterday to some) is 30 years my parents have been married. They joined union when I was five years old. They spent the weekend alone in Laughlin, chilllin and romancing. Good for them.
Today (yesterday for most) was a sucky ass day for me. I lost my job. After 9 years with my company I’m unemployeed. I sold office supplies for as long as I’ve had my kids but shit happens in a sucky ass fucken ecomony. I’ve been given 60 days notice, with pay and no work. So I get to stay home with my girls, look for work AND get paid. I know I’m lucky. It still sucks ass though.
So that is my LOW. Well that and the fact that after 30’something days of not smoking I decided to smoke! Talk about low. But my HIGH? Guess what? I’m going to be a tia again, today!!! Yes, Peeps, I’m going to be an auntie to a NEPHEW! OMG seriously an auntie to a fricken BOY??? Yay!! Um, by the way, I don’t know what to do with boys!!! loll Well thankfully I’ve got LOTS of time on my hands for babies!! lol
So by the time you read this my sister will have HOPEFULLY have delivered (without incident) my big ass nephew and all is well.
Life sucks for me, sort of, but you know what they say: When one door closes another one opens. Wish me luck, yo.

I’m sorry to hear you lost your job. That SUCKS! With your experience you should have no problem finding a new one, but keep in mind the job market is tough so don’t wait.

Yay a baby!! Oh man do I have stories to tell you about boys! Basically WATCH OUT! Even as seemingly helpless adorable babies they can projectile pee with simultaneous shit that lands three feet away…or on top of your head-even with a diaper on top for protection. After they gain control of their hands/arms, the little man in training will attempt to rip the shirt off of every pair of boobs he comes in contact with…oh yeah. No female is safe! Sneaky little devils they are.

Anyhow, you were due to have a breakdown over this, it’s the first step and everyone goes through it when they face a major life change that they didn’t necessarily choose to make. You have a plan, you have options, and you are surrounded by people who love you.
Now, as for that new nephew of yours, make sure to spoil the hell out of him.
