Sweet!
For some odd reason I thought I had two $5 bills in my wallet left from all our weekend outings. I can make it through the week on $10 because I bring lunch. No biggie.
I just went into my wallet to grab a $5 and head to the cafeteria for a cold coffee when what do I find? Not one $5. And certainly not the two $5’s I thought were there. No I found a $20 bill! Woohoo!
Do you know what this means? It means my kids actually didn’t nickel and dime the shit out of me this weekend! Right on! Apparently I must’ve said NO more often than I realized! Woohoo.
And with the cafeteria being closed for the day (who the fuck closes at 2:30 when the rest of the office is open until after 6pm??) I didn’t get my coffee so I still have twenty hot dollas in my wallet. Yeah, I think I’ll do something crazy with it and splurge on a Venti Iced Coffee on my way home from the track tonight. I’m wild when it comes to coffee splurges. Venti is how I roll.

Bring on the rain!
Its Fall already, right? I mean, all those announcements made on the 22nd weren’t a hoax, right? If it is, like they say, then why the hell is it still 90-107 degrees in CA?? Oooohhh that’s riiight! September is one of CA’s hottest months. DUH. Forgot about that, you know, being a native of CA and all.
Yesterday morning it was cold and foggy so I dressed accordingly, jeans, boots, thick socks and a 3/4 sleeve top. Then I made the mistake and left the office. Holy shit! I was sweating just crossing the friggin parking lot! I’m OVER this summer heat already! I’m ready for some true Autumn weather. I just checked the forecast for the next ten days and next weekend we’re suppose to get rain. YES!
Rain, people, rain! In CA? Almost unheard of huh? lol Not only am I looking forward to the cool weather that comes with it but that should pretty much guarantee NO family gatherings! Yay! I just hope Mister has next weekend off from work like he has this weekend.
Speaking of this weekend, we’re going to be busy, again. Last night my aunt flew in from NM to attend funeral services for an uncle of mine, so I’m leaving work early to attend the family reception afterward. Saturday we’re getting out early for breakfast and to take the kids out for a few hours. We have a house warming party at my step-sons new house. From there I have to take Pebbles to her first puppy training class then back to step-son’s house to pick up my family. From there its over to my grandpa’s house to visit before my aunt leaves on Sunday. We were suppose to go to the fair on Sunday but I think we’ll skip it and just chill instead.
See why I’m looking for down time? And the weekend following that my nephew MIGHT be born. I told my sister to schedule it on Friday the 10th that a three day weekend would work for me. You know, because its all about me.

I was looking at my bookshelf last night and realized I’m going to be needing more books soon. I only have a few to chose from right now and need to stock up. I checked my Double Day Book Club account and there’s nothing there that caught my eye. I need to check my goodreads.com account and see what others are reading. And now, we wait
Yesterday my mom and I co-hosted a baby shower for my sister, I’m guessing there were about 30 or so people there. Mister and I did all the cooking for the party, Mexican food of course. And with 30+ people in attendance EVERYTHING went. The only thing left was salad, a bowl of rice and one flauta. That’s it.
My sister’s new “in-laws” had to make three trips (four people) to the car just to bring in all the gifts they bought for their first grandchild/nephew. And the MIL still forgot the car seat at home! lol It took her almost an HOUR to finish opening all the gifts she got! And to see her boyfriend load up his truck was amusing, too. When I texted her last night she said they dumped everything in the living room of their apartment but had no walking room so two hours later they were STILL putting baby things away! At eight months pregnant I know she was tired. Hell I’m not even pregnant and I was exhausted! lol
So now that’s behind us, Sis is offficially on maternity leave so all that’s left is to wait for her to go into labor. Her last delivery was by c-section so with my nephew (I’m so not use to saying that) she’s going to do VBAC and now we’re waiting for labor to begin. I’ll be in the labor/delivery room with her and B because she’s not sure how much he can take or how much of him SHE can take while in labor! lol So like I said, now we wait.
On another note, the Naughty Party was fun. I spent over $100 and booked a party for November, my sis and I will be co-hosting it and we chose Nov so she won’t be pregnant anymore. lol And she informed her boyfriend that when we have the party he’ll be babysitting all four kids! lol
Oh man I drank for the first time in three weeks this Saturday night and felt like complete shit yesterday morning, and I didn’t even drink that much! In three weeks I turned into a light weight. Niiice. Even Mister said he felt like shit. lol But I’m happy to report that even though I went out and had a few drinks I survived the night without smoking! I even hung out outside with the smokers and didn’t do it. So today marks my three weeks without smoking and I’m feeling pretty damn good.

Its all about sacrifice, people
Y’all have been hearing me complain talk about Mister working seven days a week and nights. Blah blah blah. Well last night he called me and asked what my plans were for tomorrow night. I told him Remember, I’m going to my aunt’s Naughty Party with my sister, why? Come to find out he’s been given the night off. So immediately I told him I’d skip the party so we could do something together, us alone or as a family. And what did my unselfish, loving husband tell me? No no no! You had this planned for weeks, you go out with the girls, have fun, enjoy yourself and buy something real nasty. Just no big black dildos. Niiiice honey, real nice.
Its all about sacrificing for your partner right? And hey, who am I to argue with my husband, especially when he’s offered to watch the kids! Woohoo! Thankfully today is pay day! Girls night tomorrow!

Strip club or nude revue?
I’ve booked Mister and I a room at the Palms for a couple of days to get away/celebrate his birthday. No kids. No work. Just us. (Well, College Girl and her BFF are riding up with us but they’ve got their own room, they’re over 18 and will be on their own.)
When we go to Vegas in December its just for a short two days, nothing exciting, lots of relaxing and just spending time with each other. We escape work demands and all the Christmas stress that’s been biting our necks since November. It helps us not only reconnect because of his hellish work season that just ended but also gets us ready to deal with all the family demands of the holidays.
Last year I packed us two bottles of wine, cheese, crackers and some other little picnic goodies. When we got to the room we enjoyed the quiet afternoon with each other and relaxed. We ended up gambling a bit, caught a hockey game and did a little bit of walking around the strip. Not a whole lot since we go to Vegas a few times a year.
But this year I want to do something different for him, I want to take him out for the night. I’m debating either buying show tickets to a nude revue or just telling him Hey, lets go get us some lap dances! I’ve been to a strip club with him before so its no big deal.
So what would you do? I’m not about to drop $100+ per ticket on the Blue Man Group either. I can get us a pair of tickets for about $100+$120 to one of several adlut shows or should I just cash that $120 into $1’s and take him strip joint hopping one night? Decisions. Decisions.

Awww they grow up so quickly don’t they?
Puppies, that is. Oh man why didn’t you ho’s tell me how much work was involved in a puppy? It had been years since we’ve had a puppy and I forgot just how needy they are!
Pebbles is growing up so quickly! In the super ass long sleep deprived three short weeks we’ve had her she’s gone from the tiny, precious, sleeping infant right into the terrible two’s! She’s no longer taking two hour naps after each meal, no her ass wants to play. Play? A puppy wants to play? The nerves! She’s wandering around the house, exploring. She’s sniffing the kitchen floor for crumbs. She loves being in the girls room because they always have a bunch of crap on their floor. Crap puppies like to chew on, like shoes, dolls, toys and anything she can get in her teeth into!
She’s going through the attack the feet as my family walks past me in flip flops stage. That’s getting her a lot of NO BITE! yells at home. This is also getting her a shot of water in the face from a hidden water bottle. Something she doesn’t care for. Thankfully we begin puppy classes on the 27th.
She’s trying to punk The Snitch for her order in the family but I’ve been teaching The Snitch to stand up to Pebbles and put her in her place. She’s getting better but I think The Snitch has such a soft voice Pebbles doesn’t take her serious. lol
On the flip side of her growing up, she’s finally sleeping through the night! I take her out one last time before I go to bed then crate her for the night and she doesn’t ask to get out until she hears my alarm go off at 5am. FINALLY! Drama Queen and I were taking her out twice in the middle of the night and man that was killing us! Poor kid was feeling like she was going to sleep in class.
She can be a sweet, cuddly baby when she wants to and can be a monster puppy on crack when she gets in the right mood. I’m happy to report that our entire family has been on board with the puppy responsibility 100%. The kids don’t balk at having to clean up after her. When other kids are around Pebbles my girls enforce our rules with them, hmmm they’re listening huh? Even Mister is active in her care. Well, he has to be because when I go to work he’s home with her until 4:30 so that means he’s got feeding and walking duty, too.
So things in our home with puppy are happy. Not entirely peaceful all the time, but happy. I’ll take happy.
But I’ve got a question for those of you who’ve had puppies, is it normal for them to go from three times a day being fed down to two times a day so young? She’s ten weeks old this week and we use to feed her three small handfuls (about 1/4 at the most) a day. And she would eat each time, but now she doesn’t want that mid day meal so yesterday I took her down to a morning/evening feeding only and she seems to be fine with that. She’s not starving and she gets plenty of exercise so is that normal? I know they’ll eat when they’re hungry and stop when they’re done, right? So was I right to cut out one feeding instead of keep trying to feed her that third meal?

I haven’t looked at my Reader since…um…well…lets just say since Friday (and there was STILL too many for me to read). I open it up today and you Ho’s have, collectively, given me 315 blog posts to read! That’s a lot of fricken yapping! lol I’ve got to hook a Starbucks IV to my arm one weekend to just get through them all! lol
So how was your weekend? Mine was good, spent the little time I had with Mister. I finally got laid this weekend! Woohoo! *Please don’t embarrass me and ask how long its been since the last time* College Girl and I took the kids to Knott’s Berry Farm Saturday afternoon. We suck. We got tired of walking and were leaving by 9:15′ish. The kids had fun and that’s all that matters. Now that “free ticket” is out of the way and all amusement park visits are done for the year now I can begin concentrating on Christmas! Yay! Oh crap. Wait. I lied. We’re going to the fair on the 28th. Ok. after thatis done then no more having fun until Mom and Dad go to Vegas! Woohoo! Errr… I mean Christmas. hehehe
I’m seriously looking forward to Christmas! I’ve got a nice little savings fund going on plus I’ve already got one gift completed and put away. Now I just need to think of what to get the kids.
Sunday Mister got up and took the kids with him to drop College Girl off at home (1.5 hour round trip), I took advantage of that time and did some quick house work and put myself together so we could kicked it. They put on a Jet Li movie, The Forbidden Kingdom, and I napped. Those movies don’t do anything for me.
I am happy to announce I will be getting my television put back into our room this afternoon! Mister just had our living room TV repaired for like $100. We decided to wait on the purchase of a new (NICER) one until the Christmas sales begin. (He’s so schmart sometimes.) I can’t wait to curl up in bed, tonight, and watch TV in my bed while listening to the ghetto-bird circle above. Ahhh, that’s when you know you’re in L.A. lol
Oh yeah, today is 2 weeks I’ve gone without smoking and I feel absolutely wonderful. Why didn’t you guys tell me I’d feel this great? I would’ve done it sooner!
