*Any boys stopping in to read my blog today, do yourself a favor, quietly hit the BACK arrow and come back tomorrow. Trust me, you’ll be glad you didn’t read any further.*
Ok, all you smart ladies out there, help me out. I had my period the week of Feb 17th. I finished on Feb 23rd. It was kind of heavier than usual but no big deal, so I thought. There were a couple of times, at the beginning, that I was a bit lightheaded and dizzy. But that was also the same time that we found out our co-worker passed away so I don’t know if it had anything to do with that.
Anyway, all last week I had cramping, backache, bloating and very tender breasts. Total PMS symptoms. I had been popping pain reliever like M&M’s all week. Finally by Friday these symptoms went away and I was feeling back to normal. That was until I started my period again yesterday! I’m talking full blown period and not just a light spotting in between.
So what’s wrong with me? Why am I having a second period in a two week time frame? Every now and then I may skip a few days when my period is at the end of the month and so that it takes my cycle to the beginning of the coming month, but nothing like this, twice in two weeks? Should I be scared? Is this normal? And no, I’ve got no chances of being pregnant or miscarrying.

It could just be your hormones out of whack.
But to be safe, you should make a appointment with your OB/GYN. This happened to my wife a few times and it ended up being an ovarian cyst.

Having dealt my entire pubescent life with polycystic ovaries and endometriosis, I’d say
Get thee to a doctor, woman!
Probably nothing to be worried about, but wouldn’t you rather spend the $30 to find out for sure?

I think it’s pretty normal. Are you due for a pap anytime soon? If so, just ask the Dr. about it. But I did the same exact thing this month on just about the same damn days! I’m attrubuting mine to my age and things beginning to change. I also get light headed every other period, I try to take more iron during those times.

Dude, it’s the beginning of the month. And vacation is coming. I’m sure it’s nothing but some weird adjustment, but if you are concerned, call your doc.
Mine is fairly unpredictable lately and nothing bad is wrong. It’s just a freaking nuisance.

Maybe your period is having its own leap day?

I have this too. So far they haven’t figured out what it is. My doctor did tell me that estrogen is stored in fat and that if you have excess body fat(I do,lots) then all that estrogen will cause you to have wonky periods. BUT having said that,I’ve lost 40lbs and still have the same problem so who the hell knows. I hate having my period.

I did this for 6 months and couldn’t take it anymore….I went to the Dr…..I had endometriosis and they had to do emergency surgery I was doubled over in pain. This was about 5 years ago maybe longer. Dont wait 6 months like me….but I would wait one more month to see if it happened again….or you could call a nurse and talk to them….if it bothers you then check it out…always go with your gut. Keep us posted.

I don’t remember how old you are, much younger than me, I think – but this started to happen to me too. Before I knew it, there was having a period every fucking 3 weeks or less – which sucks.
I went to the OBGYN and of course, they wanted to put me on the pill to regulate myself – something I did not want to do. She said it’s usually age-related and will usually re-regulate itself in time. That was a year ago and it has pretty much stopped.
I would go see what your OB says, it can’t hurt. I’m sure you’ll be fine, but just to be sure.
good luck!

I can’t relate because I’m as regular as a clock. If you’re concerned about it I’d call a nurse/doctor and talk to them over the phone about it. Maybe there’s an easy explanation for it.

I’d give it a month or two and see if you get back to normal. If it keeps happening you should clearly get it checked out, but for a one time thing it is probably no biggie. Our bodies sometimes just find ways to screw us.

Beej made a funny. lol
I wouldn’t worry. You have been under a lot of stress lately. Planning trips and getting ready for all of us and your co-worker dying. Sometimes our bodies just resets itself.
*hugs*

Go to the doctor…The last time that happened to me they found a polyp in my endometrial lining…Nothing bad…just a nuisance.

I have friends who this has happened to, but I would call the doc, just to be on the safe side. Probably it’s no big deal!
