i grew up in gardena. you’d be suprised(I guess you wouldnt) all the parents who blamed everybody else’s gangbanger kid for ruining the ‘hood instead of looking at their own kid, the clothes he wears, the ‘homies’ he hangs out with,the tats on his neck, his ghetto-walk, his slang speech… but ‘No, he’s a good boy. A nice son. Give me no trouble’

Yeah, no trouble *at home*. but he was stealing his nieghbor’s bikes when he was 10 and bullying the other little kids at the park when he was 8.
Now, he’s 18, in jail for rape and drugs.
But he’s a ‘good boy’ and ‘no trouble at home’.

I don’t think you’re heartless at all….you have a fantastic view point. She was still a “victim” when her son was out there bangin…no difference now. and I get the thing that her kid is dead…that hurts anyone,…BUT what about the parents of HIS victims?!!!

I totally agree with you. If these “victims” would have spoken up sooner there would be a lot less people getting hurt and this gang issue would become less prominent.

I’m so with you on this. Almost nightly, I see a news story of some guy who killed a mom, stole her car, threw the crying baby out of the window into a cement mixer, careened out of control through an outdoor cafe and then make a run for it while holding 8 pounds of blow…only to be shot by police after unloading the magazine of an AR-15 Assault Rifle. Then the mom says, “Why did they have to shoot my boy?”

Damn. Fuck! DamnFuck!

Its Scary, the amount of bullshit parenting I see now a days. Makes me look back and appreciate when my old man was hard on me. Gave me discipline. Taught me right from wrong and more importantly, taught me to do my best to avoid the drama.
