I started making notes of what needs to be done these coming weeks and when. Check this list out:
December Things To Do & Dates
11/30 – Buy 2.5 books of stamps
12/2 – Mail out of state Xmas cards
12/2 – Buy Xmas tree
12/7 – Mail local Xmas cards
12/8 – Dinner party at Mister’s friend’s house
12/14 – Have ALL shopping complete
12/16 – Have ALL gifts wrapped
12/16 week- Begin shopping for tamale ingredients
12/21 – Cook meat for tamales
12/22 – Assemble tamales
12/23 – Start cooking tamales
12/23 – Have T clean off desk COMPLETELY
12/24 – Clean house for Xmas Eve dinner
12/25 – Take down tree
12/25 – Wash and pack
12/26 – Leave for VEGAS at 9am!
And that doesn’t include the possibility of us having New Years Eve dinner/party at our house like we do each year. This list will save my sanity and get me through to Christmas without hopefully killing Mister.
**EDITED TO ADD: I just added a small dinner party to the list! lol I guess tamales and Vegas weren’t enough for me huh?

Dang girl!
Good thing I’m not that busy because I’ll be out of town most of next week for a conference.
Mmm. Tamales. I’m actually toying with the idea of trying to make some myself this year. We’ll see.

2)Put up the tree sometime before Christmas
3)Wrap presents eventually

Sue, I found a really easy recipe (and very similar to Gma K’s) on cooks.com I printed it out to get the gist of it. But it should be easy for you b/c you’re not making 20+ dozen!
Chelle, if I don’t organize that way THEN I stress out! I’m not good at winging it. lol
Samantha, and the crazy woman in me is toying w/the idea of adding a casual dinner in there for Mister’s bday too.

Does it ever stress you out with lists? I tend to make my lists longer and longer when I have them. Sure I screw up things because I don’t have a list.
I wish I was going to Vegas after xmas. I have to work.

Beth, my December may be organized but you should see my house!
Carrie, I like to make lists far in advance so I’ve got time to take care of it all in a decent time manner. Mister hates when I make lists. hehehe
Craze, you know me, it’ll get done.

Oh, God. Your list just proved how f*cking inadequate I am this time of year. Christas cards out by the 2nd of December?? Shit, I’m usually running to the post office on the 20th, hoping like hell they’ll get there. Sad, but true.
Good for you. Maybe you’ll rub off on me and I’ll start my own list. Probably, not, but why not hold out hope.
Have a great day.

Yeah, I can’t even look at that list. It sends shivers down my spine…and it reminds me of all the crap I’ve ignored on my lists.
Good Luck.
