Phew! Exhaustion I tell you! Thanksgiving turned out to be pretty good. We were at my Grandpa’s house and had a great night. After the food was done we sat around the table talking and hanging. Then someone got the idea to play a game so my Grandpa pulled out Toma Todo and we played that for awhile. Mister won a few “pots” and came home with about $5 in winnings, which was dumped right into our vacation savings jar!
I was pretty tore up last night and felt like SHIT this morning! But hey, I made a commitment to my mom and I still took her butt shopping. We were at Starbucks just after 5am and in line at Target at 5:15. I scored on some pretty good DVD’s and clothes for the kids. From there we hit K-Mart but they didn’t have what I was looking for so we did a drop off of our bags at my parent’s, got breakfast at Jack in the Box and headed to the mall.
At the mall I scored at JC Penny’s! I got Drama Queen a jacket like this one but in tan. It was priced at $50 and I paid $20 for it! Then I picked up a sweater for my little cousin and paid $9 for a $30 sweater!
We hit a few more stores at the mall and were leaving just before 11am and finished for the day. Mom and I picked up my girls and my Grandma and went for lunch at a Mexican joint near our house. Margarita on the rocks, por favor! As soon as I got home I put on some stretchy pants, pulled my hair up and went to sleep for a few hours!
It looks like Mom and I will be going out again tomorrow morning at 7am. I’m almost finished shopping for Drama Queen now I need to work on The Snitch.
We also got a call that my Mother-In-Law is in the hospital. Mister is with her right now. I just hope its nothing too serious. All he told me when I called to check on her is that her blood pressure was very high and they’re keeping her overnight. Keep her in your thoughts, please.

Sorry to hear about your MIL. I hope she will be fine.
I got up around 10:30 and went back to bed at 12:00 and slept til 2:00. Then we drove home to find that our downstairs c h/a is broke and that one of our Nemos died.
You know that you are the only one I know that actually got up for black friday.

Sorry to hear about your MIL. I hope everything is ok. I’ll keep her in my thoughts.
I braved the shopping mall also, but not until after 2:00 in the afternoon
It wasn’t too bad, I was able to get in and out of all the stores I went to with minimal waiting.

OMG… CECE.. I started saving the one dollar bills like you suggested and have accumulated $150 in less than 2 months…woo hoo. Thanks so much for the idea! I should have enough saved to purchase all the nephews and niece Christmas presents without spending my weekly splurge money!!

Heidi, I found that going later, too, wasn’t as bad either.
Frazzled, I went out again on Saturday too! lol I’m almost finished!

Terry, I’m so glad to hear its working for you too! I have almost $300 saved up. And while out xmas shopping I used cash and each time I got change I put the $1’s to the side & I think I dumped another $30 into my bank this weekend!
