Last night I took my girls walking, again. We were heading into Long Beach to the grocery store. With the kids in tow, that is about a 45+ minute walk when I can do it alone in 30′ish minutes. So we talk while walking.
I was walking a little ahead of them, then The Snitch to my right and behind her was Drama Queen. The whole way Snitch kept looking back and looking back. Eventually this was our conversation:
S: Mom, I keep feeling like someone is behind me.
M: Well your sister is walking behind you.
S: No, not her. Someone else is behind me.
M: Maybe its Grandma Irene’s Angel following you?
S: {smiling now} Oh yeah! It IS Grandma! And I think Lucy (our dog who died in November) is with her because I keep feeling fur on the back of my legs!
I couldn’t help but to smile. That made my night.

It is amazing how they still remember your dog. How sweet! I bet they were there watching over you.

Aww.. that is sweet. Jacob was only 7 months old when my mom died but I always talked about her. He was about 5 years old walking along and all of a sudden he stopped and looked up at the sky and started talking. Then he kept going. I asked him what that was all about and he said, “Oh, grandma was talking to me”.

ok, as you all know I am the paranormal geek. my library of books is crazy.
Observations. Kids are more inclined to see spirits. I hope you all who commented that your kids have done this encourage it. Not so sure how much you all are into spirits and paranormals, but I am a believer.
I enjoyed this post.

I’m a total believer and I do not doubt that Snitch felt a presence. I’m sure she was telling the truth. And the best thing is that they’re never scared of that feeling. lol

That is adorable…and I believe things like that too. I think children see and feel things that we adults can’t. I mean that.

I loved this post:) I totally believe in the spirit world, and that they are most definitely seen by children before adults.
My niece turned one year old a couple of weeks back, and we had a nice party with family and friends. When we were singing happy birthday I swear I felt the presence of other family who were no longer with us. It was an unexplainable feeling of calm and connectedness. Hmm, I guess I’m making up words:)
