I’m one of those people who think about things. Even worse than that, I vocalize my thoughts. What’s wrong with that? You ask. Well, some of the shit that goes through my mind is so useless and annoying. Not annoying to me, obviously, but to others. Mainly my sister.
She and I use to work together. One morning, on our way to work, we got stopped at a signal light. While sitting there, I noticed, in the left hand turning lane across from us, there were about 8-12 cars waiting for the green arrow to signal them into a safe left turn.
Something odd caught my attention in that line of cars. I noticed all of the cars had their left blinker on. You could see 8-12 blinking orange lights, but they were all blinking at a different rate, speed and sequence.
I called her attention to the line of cars and their blinking lights. I asked her Do you think they are blinking differently because: 1- They are all different makes/models of cars? 2- Approached the intersection at different times (obviously) and turned their blinkers on at a different time than the car’s in front of them? 3- Do you think if all those cars were lined up and were told On your mark, get set, GO! And all turned their blinkers on at the same time that they would blink together?
Did she engage me in conversation about the endless possibilities of the lights blinking in front of us? No. Did she quietly sit and reflect on the suggested possibilities? No. Her response? The shit in your head bugs the fuck out of me!
Thanks, Sis, I love you too.

The "Mind"
And I would have busted up laughing. I should pose that question to Pman the next time I notice it. Actually, what will happen is I will notice the blinkers, think of this story, start laughing and he’ll say, “What?” Then I will have to explain.
Oh, and I can SEE the look your sis threw your way, too. LMAO!

I was so ready to debate the topic of blinkers with you, when I noticed the post was about your sisters reaction…
Me and my Bro actually do have these types of conversations and we enjoy mystifying anyone who might overhear us!!

I think it’s a perfectly good question. I can’t say I would have thouht of it, but now that you’ve pointed it out I’ll wonder about it!

I never thought of it that way! See, I like the things in your head because now when I am waiting at a light I am going to pay careful attention to the blinkers on other cars. What your sister said cracks me up, but seriously, I really want to know the answer to the blinker question! I think this is the gateway to solving the meaning of life.

Chelle, vocalize them! Its fun!
Rick, then what’s the answer???
Terry, let me down a couple of beers & I’ll be ready to debate! lol

Um..It is the different types of cars. How do I know this? I went out on a mission and did research not too long ago. You see how fucked up our brains are? I even make up thoughts of how I would respond to questions but I haven’t been asked yet.

I love this kind of stuff. Most of my conversations with Lancelot are about these things.

I thought I had posted.
I get excited when my blinker is in sync with the car in front of me. If I was in the car with you, I totally would have gotten your thinking.
