How long do you leave up someone’s link, at your sidebar, if they don’t post?
I mean, isn’t that like free advertising for them? So how long would you leave their shit up before you update your template and kick them out? A month? Two months? What if they’re a “friend”?

I recently deleted Heidi. She had not posted since the week after the Chicago trip.
I tend to give friends longer than just random blogs I’ve stumbled across.
I feel your pain, I’ve got a few that I would love to keep, but I don’t want a huge blog list and they aren’t frequent updaters.

Oh crap. My blogroll is getting out of hand. I would never take off any of my friends. I would email them and ask them if they quit. It happens. I’ve got to eliminate my blogroll because I am starting to get a good circle of friends and I want to read them everyday.

Carrie, you’re too funny. Guess I’m heartless b/c I don’t email I just axe them. Oh & my blogroll has GROWN! I come in, post and try to read/post to everyone on my blogroll, daily. If I don’t get to them during the day I make an attempt at night (when parenting permits). If not, the next day I go in & read/comment what I missed. I know I appreicate it when people do that w/me!

I used to be reeeeally easy going about it,but now that I read so many people I have to be ruthless.
For me it’s 2 months max then they’re gone,unless of course they’re special. I do make allowences for certain people:)

It’s funny, about 2 minutes before I hopped over to your blog I noticed that this one gal on my blogroll never comments and I barely read her blog…so what’s the point of having her there, ya know? Another girl, I really like, but she hasn’t posted since November. I’m thinking the blog is over with, but I keep hoping…

I think I’ve started to list everyone on a page on my website that nobody visits since LJ sucks about listing them. I’ll just link that to the LJ sidebar instead. That way, Everyone is there, but I don’t have to pay attention to all of them (plus…I recently got bitched at on a board because a chick there wasn’t in my LJ friends group. Um, sweetie…it’e because you’re annoying as f…)
