New Year’s Eve plans?
Today will be a short day, for me, we’re leaving work at 2:00. Mister is meeting me for lunch, too. I’ve got a couple of quick errands to run after work (doesn’t it seem like I’m always running errands?) then its homeward bound to spend an evening of doing laundry and watching movies with mi’ familia.
Tomorrow will most likely be spent buying food, booze and firewood for Sunday night. We stay home on New Year’s Eve and have everyone comes to our house. Its great to be with those I love the most, my family, this time of year.
This just might be our last New Year’s Eve here, too. We got a notice about our property officially switching owner’s, as of yesterday, and with that came a pretty sizable rent increase. Mister wants to stick it out, but we’re toying with the idea of possibly house hunting in 2007. With the change in property owners and rent increase my sister and grandma may be moving. So our family won’t be right next door like we’ve been for the last 8 years. That makes me sad.
I don’t want to leave my (possible) last post of 2006 on a sad note, so what are your plans for NYE?

I should’ve given them calendars for Christmas
This way my family could keep track of when I’m PMS’ing and leave me the fuck alone!
Yesterday I got to work and began cramping, popped a few Midol, a couple of times, and all was well. That is until I arrived home to find Mister just sitting on the couch watching Overhaulin’ AGAIN. I say again because it was the same fucken episode he saw the other night that he kept saying BABE! COME CHECK THIS OUT! Who gives a fuck about Foose pimpin’ out a fucken small *de-de-de* bus??? If I wanted to see that I would have my ass on the couch next to yours! But I don’t, do I? Oops, I strayed didn’t I? Sorry.
Where I was going with that was he was just SITTING on the couch and no sign of dinner being made. When he works days he does dinner, so what-the-fucK? Where is dinner? Whatever. I grabbed my book and went to the room. He came in to ask ME if I was going to do dinner. I’m sure I gave him an Are you kidding me? look. I took a few minutes to calm myself down then headed to the kitchen where I opened a couple cans of soup, made grilled cheese sandwiches and called that dinner.
I had to take my mom to the market last night, too. So before I left I put some coffee on and set a pot with water to boil while I was out. At the market I did something I almost never do, I bought a couple of raunchy celeb tabloids.
When I got home I had planned to cook my pasta and guess what? Mister turned off the fucken water. He didn’t call to find out why I was boiling water. Nope. Just took it upon himself to turn the stove off. Great. Now I’ve got to reboil it and wait. I finally get my pasta salad made but he can tell something is wrong with me because I’m slamming cabinets and pans left and right. Finally he comes out of the bedroom to sit at the computer. I swallow two PMS pills, grab my celeb smut mags, my ipod and a bottle of water then head to our room where I plopped my big ass on the bed and didn’t move for the next 2.5 HOURS.
When the kids came into the room I looked up then proceeded to ignore them the same way I was ignoring their father. After all, it was for their own safety. They all left me alone, thankfully, but after awhile alone I began to get pissed because no one came in to check on me!! What-the-fuck people???? *sigh*
Mister did come in, about an hour after I was alone, to ask how I was feeling. He sat at the side of the bed, brushed the hair out of my face and kissed me. I told him to leave me alone so he began getting up but then I said WAIT! Don’t leave me. So he sat down and hugged me.
After my pills kicked in, my niece went home, my kids’ went to bed, I smoked a cigarette and read both smut mags I felt much better. Oh and guess what? Mister is not only cooking tonight but whipping up a hellified BBQ! Who cares that its 49 degrees with 50 MPH winds!

Did I ever tell you that I LOVE being a parent?
Yes, of course I love being a parent for all the mushy reasons I normally love it. You know, the sticky hugs, dirty faces, the refrigerator art work and smelling like puppy dogs on a hot summer day. Yes, those are all great reasons for me to love being a parent. But one of the reasons I love to parent is because I get to TEACH my children things they didn’t know before. You know, when they ask questions and you get to tell them the truth no matter how gross or wrong it is! Yup, that’s ME!
Sunday morning I had made breakfast for Drama Queen, The Snitch and my niece. It was a simple breakfast of bacon, eggs, toast and juice. The three girls are eating at the table, chatting amongst themselves when The Snitch asks me Mom, what is bacon made out of? I had a choice, you see, to either tell her the truth, which might upset her because they just saw Charlotte’s Web last week. Or I could fib a little, as not to upset her and send her to bed with nightmares on Christmas Eve. So after thinking a minute, I turned to my 4 year old child, bright eyed and waiting for an answer, and said Honey, bacon is a dead pig. OINK!
Yeah, parenting ROCKS!
Christmas is OVAH!
Whew! We had a great Christmas, the kids seemed to enjoy all their gifts. The Snitch is playing with her new TMX Elmo right now. I had to go to Home Depot to buy batteries because Mister forgot to get batteries. You’ll never guess how much I spent on batteries? $52! Damn that’s alot of electronics!
The girls’ and I slept in today, ’til 8:45! And the only reason we woke up was because the phone was ringing. My tree was down and out on the curb by 11:00 today. Once I vacuumed, put the furniture back and storage boxes back in the garage I headed over to my mom’s house to do the same to her tree and Christmas junk.
By 2:15 the 4 of us were on our way out to lunch and then to the mall for exchanges and returns. He got me a docking station for my ipod and he didn’t like the sound quality so he returned it and we went to Best Buy where he got me a new kick ass one! Somehow, this year, I’ve got (what seems like) a lot of returns to do. Ugh.
Now that Christmas 2006 is behind us I get to plan and prepare for our New Year’s Eve get together at our house! Oh and before that, we’re planning a dinner for this Thursday because my uncle leaves back to Portland early on Sunday.

Merry Christmas!
I know, its only Christmas Eve, but what the heck!
I’ve
finished Christmas shopping. Yup, Friday I
finished it all when I grabbed Mister a Home Depot gift card and went to Best
Buy to get him a last minute PC game. But its done now, everything except the
Santa gifts are wrapped, but I’ll do that later today.We picked my
Uncle up from the airport yesterday. I also got a tin of cookies, in the mail,
from my good friend Sara. Yummm. I seriously LOVE the holidays. I
feel so happy and chipper! The kids are buzzing around the house repeating that
today is Christmas Eve! And I think Mister is up to something because he went
out shopping last night and came home empty handed. Hmmm… Ah, tonight we get to dine of
grandma’s yummy tamales! No one makes tamales like grandma does. Next year I’m
suppose to be by her side from beginning to end so she can teach me. It looks
like when she hangs up her apron I’m taking over the tradition. Oh bliss.Ahhh, 4 days off from work is niiiice. I’m not due back into the office until
Wednesday. So Tuesday I’ll take down my tree then go to my parents house and
take down Mom’s tree, too.Well, I won’t be back on until Tuesday, most
likely, so I wanted to wish you all, my friends, a Merry Christmas.Love

I think I’ve finally grown up
Christmas has always been my favorite holiday and I’ll be honest and say its because of the gifts my parents would buy us. They started as teenage parents and did the best they could, and it was always great. As the years marched on Christmas got better and better each year. Even as young adults my mom would ask us for a Christmas wish list. She still does.
I look forward to shopping, wrapping and getting gifts each year. Who doesn’t, right? Well something strange has happened this year, I’m still excited about Christmas but for a different reason, I can’t WAIT for my kids to open their gifts! I love seeing the excitiment on their faces when they’ve realized they only have 3 more sleeps to go! I love the frustration my Snitch has because its killing her to wait 3 more sleeps!
The girls are going to be so excited, Drama Queen got a digital camera and the Easy Bake Oven she’s been asking for. The Snitch got the Leapster she’s been asking for and a TMX Elmo, too. Not to mention the new TV we bought for their room! Oh yeah, those girls are going to have a great day. Plus I can’t wait for Mister to see all the Craftsman crap I bought him! I can’t wait for my sister to open her gifts from me, then Mister is giving her a Christmas card with a bit of cash in it, too. She’s a single mom, he takes care of them when he can. See why I love him?
This year I had the hardest time coming up with a list for Mister, when he asked. And we realized last week that I never gave my mom a list either. I haven’t even thought of myself this season. Well, with the exception of the Coach outlet *lol*
I’m also looking forward to the time spent with family. My uncle is flying in, tomorrow, from Oregon and I can’t wait! He’s my most favoritist uncle in the world and I always enjoy his visits. I’m even looking forward to the visits by the odd family members. You know who they are, everyone has them in their family.
Yeah, I’ve totally grown up out of no where. My Christmas joy is no longer brought on by wrapped boxes and gift bags, no, its brought on by the smiles and laughter from those I love.

Hi everyone!
My gosh I feel GREAT today! Seriously. I slept SO good last night. Actually, I’ve had the best sleep the last few days, than I’ve had in a long time. I’m thinking it must be because Mister is home now and I’m not going to bed alone and scared. *lol*
I woke up to a nice toasty house. My jeans fit good today, my make up looks great and I’m having a GOOD hair day! Woohoo! Plus my car is being washed as we speak.
We’re having our department lunch today. Our boss ordered food for us and everyone is suppose to bring a dessert, except me. I was asked to bring in my Texas Country Potato Salad. Darnit, I should’ve put some in a bowl at home for later. Oh well, hopefully there will be some left over. We’re also doing our gift exchange today. But we didn’t draw names, no we are doing White Elephant gift exchange, that’s always fun.
And then I just had a girl at work tell me she has noticed the last few months it sounds like I’ve been really happy with life. Do you know how good that feels? I have been very happy with my life lately. I feel very lucky.

I wanted to take a minute and wish you a Happy Birthday. I hope you’ve had a great year and have many more to come. The girls’ and I love you with all our heart. You’re not only a wonderful father and husband, you’re a wonderful person. Period.We are so glad to have you in our life. You work very hard for us and we want you to know that we truly appreciate all you do, everyday. I couldn’t have asked for a better man in my life, thank you.

Time spent together, alone………PricelessAhhh we had a great time! Let me tell you it was a much needed mini-vacation, that’s for sure! And if his fricken job didn’t keep calling it would’ve been perfect!
We drove around a bit, did some serious walking (I woke up w/sore legs today) we shopped for the kids, I got the cartlige on my left ear pierced (Ouch!), we drank, we ate, we went to see a hypnosis show, we gambled a bit, we talked, we laughed, we made love, we hung out, we went out, we stayed in, we chilled and just enjoyed each other. Best of all we didn’t come back broke and Mister bought me a Coach bag for Christmas! Yeah, that man is very good to me.
It was so fricken cold! At one point it got as low as 29. To some of you (Beth & Mind) that might not be cold but to US Californians that’s FREEZING! And we got a bit of snow on the strip last night, too. That was cool.
On the way home we lost 2 hours due to road construction on Interstate 15. That seriously blew. We left the state line outlet mall at 12:00 and should’ve been home by 3:30-4:00, instead we didn’t get here, with pizza for the kids, until 6:00! Talk about a long ass drive! Luckily he and I are good at road trippin’ together or else it would’ve been rough.
I’m going to go get on the couch and make my man snuggle with me because I didn’t get enough attention this weekend. *lol*

Greetings from Sin City!
Hey y’all, I’m just downstairs getting coffee & found a cyber cafe so I decided to drop in. I tell you I’m addicted to you guys.
We’re having fun. Its cold as fuck here! I’m SO glad I brought my leather jacket and beanie with me, that’s for sure. I did have to buy gloves though.
We went out to dinner last night then headed over to Freemont Street to have drinks. From there we came back to our room, hung out a few hours then about 11:00 we went out again! Oh yeah, my sister can’t call us old anymore! We didn’t come in until about 1:30 this morning.
Today we’re going to see an exhibit called Bodies. Then go to lunch at the old stip, Mister found something that piqued his interst. Tonight its PF Changs. Yummm.
We’re having fun & I’ll tell you all about our trip up here when I get back.
