1. BEER! I’m in charge of buying and delivering the beer to my parents house before Saturday.
2. Cake. Have plans to order that tomorrow. I’m thinking a chocolate, 1/2 sheet cake with buttercream frosting 1/2 filled with cream cheese and the other half filled with chocolate mouse.
3. Shopping. I have to buy fresh produce for the veggie tray, salsa and green salad I’m making.
4. Ice. I have a trip to the Ice House planned for Saturday afternoon. I see 50-100 lbs of ice being loaded into my car. Not only to keep the beer cold, but for the mixed drinks as well.
5. Balloons. Crap. I need to figure out a way to shove, all by myself, about 36 balloons into my Saturn Vue. Without kids in tow, it may be possible, but its not a guarantee that all 36 will make it out alive.
6. Gas in my car! Oh man that is a MUST. I’m on a 1/4 of a tank right now and with all that running around I don’t want to run out of gas the day after a birthday party the way I did in August.
7. I can’t host a party with fuzzy eyebrows now can I? So its off to get them waxed tomorrow evening.
8. Charge the batteries in my camera. We can’t have the camera inoperable. I usually come home with some pretty good drunk shots whenever we get together.
9. Pack an overnight back for the girls because they just might be staying with Grandma and Grampy that night. Yet my mom doesn’t know it. Shhhh…
10. Wrap her gifts. I say gifts because the party is a surprise for my sister. Since she doesn’t know about it I had to get something to give to her today as well as on Saturday.
11. Decorate mom’s house.
12. Pack my own clothes so I can change before the guests arrive.
13. Make sure evrything is perfect, welcome guests, wait for Sis then party with her all Saturday night!

You are such a great sister. I’m not. I can’t say I’d go all out for my brother like that. But we aren’t close and never have been. I don’t get invited to his step-kid’s or my SIL’s birthdays. And I don’t know why. It irritates me some, but, whatever. Things are weird between us.
But I take pride in the fact if they needed anything, or I did, we’d be there for each other.

Mind, that really sucks. I would be so hurt to not be invited. But hey, what can you do, right? At least that saves you X amount of money on bday presents, which gives you more BEER MONEY!
Christina, I’m a bit overwhelmed b/c I only had 3 weeks notice to pull this off. That is SO not like me, ask Mind, she’ll tell you I start planning stuff months in advance!
Uisce, let me double check the address I have for you…

Yeah, we don’t call Cece the “Cruise Director” for nothing. She’s got Julie on the Love Boat beat.
Seriously.
Mostly.
